Hazel trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, where she received her MA in Musical Theatre, and was also awarded the Lonsdale Scholarship of Vocal Excellence. Originally from Clare, Ireland, she qualified as a primary school teacher before moving to London to pursue a musical theatre career.
